Discussion Questions for March 29, 2020 How He Loves Us – To Humble Himself

We encourage you to discuss today’s sermon with your family (including your children if they are with you) or join an online discussion. Jesus, the Son of God, humbled Himself and became human for our salvation – to show us how God created us to live and to empower us to live that way.

What are some of the many ways that Jesus served? Think about all the ways and not just the ways mentioned today.

The word “grasped” has the meaning of “using for one’s own advantage.” Jesus did not use His equality with God for His own advantage. How did He use it?

Jesus not only saved us from our sin, but also showed us how we should live. From love for God and love for one another, we are to serve one another. How can we serve one another in love? Think about people you can minister to, especially if you are stuck at home. Remember we were reading a letter written 2,000 years ago by a man while he was stuck at home for up to two years.

We did not talk about the end of this passage of Scripture that talks about the exaltation of Jesus. We will talk about that more Wednesday night. If you would like to join the online Bible study, send Pastor Matt an email message (pastormatt@waialaebaptist.com).
