Event Keynote Speaker:

Danny Goya is a trained Trauma Informed Care trainer for the Community Resilience Initiative, a certified family literacy trainer for the National Center for Family Learning, and the founder of Ke Ala Hoaka LLC, a consultancy group specializing in trauma informed strategies. He is also the Director of Project Development for the Partners in Development Foundation (PIDF), a non-profit Native Hawaiian organization providing educational, social service, and environmental programming through Native Hawaiian cultural values and traditions. In 2007, Mr. Goya created the first Two-gen mobile homeless family education program for children living on the Leeward Coast of Oahu, called the Ka Pa’alana Homeless Family Education Program. To date, it has served over 3,000 children ages 0-5 and 3,000 caregivers, transitioned 400 families to permanent housing and distributed over 50 tons of food and life necessities. In 2013, the Ka Pa’alana Program was one of the first programs of its kind to receive NAEYC accreditation.
