OUR MISSION
To provide a nurturing Christ-centered early childhood educational program for the families of Wai’alae and surrounding communities.
OUR PHILOSOPHY
The early learning philosophy we follow is called Inquiry Based Learning.
We focus on fewer topics and collaborate with the children to co-create projects that are based on the topics of which they are interested.
Fueled by our The Bible Curriculum, by Purposeful Design, The Hawaii Early Learning Development Standards, (HELDS) which is in line with the HIDOE’s Standards, and STEAM Education, (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math), teacher’s follow the interests of children in planning and implementing a framework of activities which appropriately supports the development of curiosity, problem solving, language and spiritual and social growth.
Examples of this framework follow:
Familiar Stories of the Bible; All About Me and My Five Senses; Who We Are in Hawaii; Around our World; Sky and Weather; Animal Kingdom; Prehistoric Animals, Water, Plants and Gardening; Insects and Spiders, Community Roles and Careers; Earth and Ecology; Ocean Life.
Within these experiences our objective is to teach children that they are wonderfully made by an all-knowing God who loves them and cares for them, which in turn fosters self-confidence, trusting relationships, and a love for God’s creation and one another.

HOURS OF OPERATION:
Our year-round preschool is open Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. – 4 p.m., August to July. We are closed on all federal and state holidays and times specified on the preschool calendar, which is provided before the school year begins.
